Well, kinda!
Today, while doing groceries Noah found a $10 BILL on the floor.
He was SO excited about finding 10 BUCKS.....I could just see his little brain going and thinking about what he could spend this money on.
He said "Mom, look what I found" (all excited)
The poor guy was CRUSHED when I told him we would take it to customer service in case someone had lost it. I continued to explain that 'this is what God would want us to do'. His response took me off guard when he ask"but what about that saying - 'finder's keeper's....something like that"! I responded by saying 'this saying is NOT in the bible'. Oh MY..... I also gave him an example of 'what if this was a single mom's LAST $10 that was going to be used to feed her baby'.
When he took the money to the customer service desk, the woman took his name and phone number. She told him that if no one claimed it within 30 days, they would call him and he could keep the money. I thought he would be so excited but then he showed major concern for the mom that needed that money to feed her baby!
How sweet! Keep your fingers crossed that the money belonged to a millionaire, that they won't notice it missing and that Noah gets a call from the grocery store to pick up the money for himself!!!!
