Poor Mimi

WOW....it's been a while since I wrote on our family blog! It feels great to be back.

I've been spending most of my time on our adoption blog, considering so many wonderful things have been happening! If you haven't read about our news, please visit our adoption blog (which is now private and you need an invitation to view). If you'd like to view and did not receive an invite, please send me an email (tara.morin@hotmail.com) with your email address and I'll add you to the list.

ANYWAYS......

After we got home from church tonight, we noticed the gate to our (fenced in) back yard was open then noticed poor Mimi sitting on the front step. She was DRENCHED, shivering and obviously VERY happy to see us.

While at church (which was extra long tonight because there were special guests & a fellowship time after the service), there were HUGE thunder storms (which we heard loud & clear inside the church) and it POURED rain like crazy. Though none of us could remember, Mimi must have been left outside when we left to go to church at 5:5o pm and we didn't arrived home until 8:45 pm. Poor Mimi :(

She was SOAKED and the kids were so concerned about her. As for me, though I was concerned for her and very sad that she was outside all alone during this miserable weather - I was kinda happy. Happy, knowing that obviously she had been out for several hours but CHOSE to come home. Mimi IS and will always be a runner (remember this story). As soon as she gets loose, she is gone. I often wondered if we had NOT been so lucky the times she got away 'would she have come home?', and now I know for sure that she will!!!

Thankfully Mimi is home safe and sound. She slept so peacefully, at my feet and she is all snuggled up at my feet as I type this.

Little bugger!!!
