Vacation so far

Just thought I'd write a quick post with some high level detail of all the fun we are having.

Friday

We arrived in Gatineau, Quebec and spent the night with Jacques sister Lise. The kids (and Jacques) went swimming and I painted my nails. We relaxed, went to bed, got up in the morning to drive to Jackies (my cousin).

Saturday

We drove to Jackie's and had some fun in the afternoon, including a few drinks of my FAVOURITE orange stuff!

Sunday

We relaxed around Jackie's with the kids and she hosted a HUGE Father's Day supper - YUM!

Monday June 22
We headed out first thing in the morning to Paramount's Canada's Wonderland in the HEAT, HEAT, HEAT.... We wondered and wondered for hours. We arrived around 10:30 am and didn't leave the park until 9:45 pm. By about 5:30 pm, I was completely POOPED (as was Noah). We got picked up from a friend and went for supper. This was the first time we met in person and I thoroughly enjoyed our little supper date! Thanks Christine...

By night, we drove to Niagara Falls and checked into the Sheridan on the Falls. We totally spoiled ourselves to this 4 star hotel (with Valet parking and Bell Boy service) all with a floor to ceiling view of the falls (I can't WAIT to upload our photos). It was AMAZING (except for the dirty t-shirt in the sheets the next morning). The view was breath taking!

Tuesday June 23
We went for breakfast at the Falls View Restaurant - at an all you can eat buffet. It was AMAZING. We wondered all around Niagara Falls - did many of the touristy type of things. We did the Ripley's museum, the Guiness Book of World Records Museum, the Ripley's Moving Theatre, the Wax Museum and Jacques & Isabelle went to do the Nightmares Fear Factory (poor Isabelle chickened out and was like the 97,000th person to chicken out) while Noah & I did this MASSIVE arcade. We dined at the Rain forest Cafe for lunch (and a VERY expensive one at that).

Once we were finished touring around the touristy sections, we headed over to the Great Wolf Lodge. We were in our room for maybe 10 minutes...then we all got on our swim suits and headed down to the waterpark. We closed the place off...then came straight to our room to bed.

Wednesday June 24
We got up, didn't even shower - just put our swim suits on, ate some Pop Tarts for breakfast and went straight to the water park. Man - we had fun.

After we ate our lunch (around 1:00 pm), the majority voted that we not go back to the water park. We got a few things at the souvenir shop and headed out. We drove back downtown so Jacques & I could re-do the Nightmares Fear Factory - and we did. I'm surprised I didn't chicken out. It was probably one of the MOST scary things I have ever done.... I'm surprised I didn't 'crap' my pants. I hung on to Jacques SO tight, I'm surprised I didn't break it!!

We walked from the Fear Factory down to the falls.....it was SO hot. It was like 33 degrees Celsius (with NO humidex) - probably closer to mid 40's. IT WAS HOT. We walked and walked...on the way there Noah was extremely cranky and by the way home Isabelle was cranky....LOL. Poor children :) By the time we got back to the car, everyone was happy again (feeeuuuooo)!

We left Niagara Falls and are now at my sister (Tricia's) enjoying some much needed down time. Of course, I am NOW feeling under the weather (a little better than this morning, but this morning I was shaking and was feeling really under the weather).

We did 4 loads of laundry at the laundry mat and played some cards and now we're just waiting for my Aunt's phone call to meet at Rocky's for supper (a summer 'Guelph' thing)!!!

Considering our computer has got a virus, I am unable to upload my photos :( We're working on getting this fixed as we speak, but it may not be until we get home :(
