Field Trip

Yesterday, I went on another field trip with Noah's class (plus the 3 other grade 2 classes) to the Covered Bridge Potato Chip Factory and the Potato World Museum. It was great fun (well, except for the Potato World Museum where the people working there were more interested in 'shutting the kids up' than letting them learn and 'be kids'. I am CERTAIN that the school will NOT be taking the kids there for another field trip!!!

The best part of the day, was when we were all in the school bus en route to the park where we went to eat our lunches. As we approached the park, all the kids were hooting and hollering with excitement. It was a COOL park (in the middle of no-where) and one that we (as a family) will DEFINITELY be going to visit a few times this year. It had so many features; walking trails, a pond with fish (and a $0.25 machine with fish food), swings, horseshoe pits, soccer ball, washrooms, a pavilion to eat in with a fire pit, and best of all it had 3 small golf holes (80 yards, 101 yards and maybe 120 yards) with putting greens and all. AND it's all FREE....how cool is that!!! It's weird, this park is in the middle of (what felt like) nowhere.

Though I can't share the photos of the day (for the children's privacy reasons), THIS photo was by far my favourite photo of the day: just me and my little man on the school bus on the way!!!

A fun day was had by all - I'm so glad I went!!!

haha...first thing I thought of when I saw this photo was the "kissing game" at my wedding when Noah LICKED your cheek and then Jamie had to do the same to me!
