It's hard to believe that when Noah got in the car today, he asked me about girls. He told me that a little girl 'asked him out' and he didn't know if he should say 'yes' or not. He wanted my input about what his answer should be? Hmmmmm....
He continued to tell me that this little girl told another boy that she thought Noah was cute. He told me that he didn't know if he should say 'yes' because he was more 'dorkish' and she was more 'cool'. (BREAK MY HEART) How & why are kids labeling themselves SO early....he's only in grade 2?
Hearing him say this broke my heart.
Then, rather than steering him away from girls (because he's WAY too young) - I altered my advise. I told him that how could he be 'dorkish' when a girl asked HIM out. I continued to explain that boys are supposed to ask girls out, so he was pretty cool considering it happened the other way around.
We continued to chat for a while about this little girl. He also told me that she knew Noah was 'the one' or that her dog liked Noah because she put a class photo down and her dog licked right where Noah's face was!!! LOL (only kids, eh!)
As I kept giving him ideas to think about, he said 'Mom, can't you just tell me what to do?' Poor guy, he was clearly shaken and nervous by this. So I offered him the cell phone to call his dad, so he could talk 'man to man' about such a serious issue.
I have NO idea what Jacques told him (I only hope it was similar to what I said) but he got off the phone satisfied and decided to tell her 'yes'.
Oh my word....is this REALLY happening :)

GO NOAH!! He's growing into your very own little stud muffin!! LOL!
Grade 2...oh my!
I remember my little "boyfriend" from that age. I think "Going out" at that time meant sitting next to each other in the swings...lol...wonder what it means now?...you'll have to keep us posted on what Noah said "yes" to.
