We began our morning at a Valentine's Pancake Breakfast at Noah's school (a school with grades K-12) to raise money for the graduating class. It was quite yummy. I was really impressed. I thought it would have been pancakes - and that's all. But, to our surprise there was pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, home fries, blueberry sauce, raspberry sauce, baked beans, muffins, toast, coffee, juice..... A FULL breakfast - all served by the graduating class!

When we left the breakfast, it was literally a BLIZZARD. You could barely see a thing! We went to the grocery store to buy all of our fresh ingredients for our racklette 'romantic' family dinner!
We also surprised Noah when he wondered to the toy isle....we actually let him get a toy. HE WAS IN COMPLETE SHOCK because this never happens. He even described to the cashier how we NEVER let him get anything and he was SO surprised. It was awesome to surprise him like that!! I just hope I haven't opened a can of worms for the next time he wonders to look at the toys!!!
Considering we were eating mid afternoon, we closed all of our blinds and lit all of our candles for a 'romantic' feel. Oh, and we also put on quite 'romantic' music for the mood.
We all worked TOGETHER to make this meal happen:
- Noah was in charge of setting the table, including all of the items we were chopping
- Jacques was in charge of getting the drinks, closing the blinds, lighting the candles and helping me chop
- I was in charge of dessert & chopping
He even did a special place setting for Mimi. He said he didn't want to leave her out!!! So while we ate, she got a 'treat' meal!
Mmmmmm.....this is the meal we have waited so long for. We cooked Noah is own special plate (consider he didn't want as many veggies as Jacques & I) then Jacques & I relaxed. All in all we worked, cooked and ate for over 2 hours!
This was our special dessert - chocolate pudding layered with cool whip topped with SKOR chipits in special glasses. The square piece of cake was another special treat we allowed Noah to pick out while we did groceries....it was SO yummy!
Beside all the fun this Valentine's Day - I just want to say that I am SO grateful to share this day with the ones I LOVE most - MY FAMILY. We hope & pray that our meal next year will include one (or maybe 2) more little ones to share our LOVE with.
Hope all my friends, family and blogger buddies had as an amazing day as we did!
