Last week we had TWO snow days. The weather was 'all over the place', lots of snow, freezing rain, frigid temperatures, ending in rain (that melted away much of the snow). Well so far, not matter what the season - I LOVE the view from my kitchen window. Check it out below - at dusk, on freshly fallen snow! Love the 'blue' hue!

I don't know why I included this photo...other than I love it! I've always wanted to play, taking photos of our tree close up. Now that I have my lens for my camera that takes great low light photos....I took some time the other day to snap some photos! Now I use this photo as my DESKTOP background and it's so pretty!!! You can too, if you'd like. All you have to do is Right Click and select 'Set as desktop background'.
Another great shot of the evidence of our winter wonderland....the garland on our front porch with lots of 'o-naturale' icicles!!! Isn't it SO beautiful. I'm going to use this photo as my desktop background after Christmas!

After all the snow blowing and shoveling we did....Mimi, our dog was a little tired. Can you tell? LOL She is such a great member of our family.... I don't know what life would be like without her. Remember, she balances this family out (2 boys, 2 girls - even if one is a dog)!!
We went to Jacques Christmas party last Friday night (Dec 12).... I was a little nervous what to wear considering Jacques told me it was anything from jeans to dressy, but mostly dressy. Well, let me tell you ladies - how do you interpret THAT!!! I'm a little gun shy now because one year he told me this (as did his boss/best friend to his wife). We got all dolled up and the first person we saw was sitting in their car, wearing scruffy jeans & a Santa hat drinking beer in the parking lot!!! MAN, did I feel uncomfortable all dolled up THAT night! So rightfully so, I was a little cautious of what to wear!!!
Okay, so all turned out well....I felt great, he LOOKED great and everyone was happy. Especially me - after 6-7 Bloody Caesars - YUMMY!!! MY favourite drink of the season. The people we sat with (one of his employees) was REALLY friendly and nice to speak ENGLISH to me all night (considering MOSTLY everyone there was FRENCH). She made me feel really comfortable - especially when Jacques had to go around to do his 'manager' type of stuff.
We had alot of fun....even got to stay overnight!!! Jacques mom was a doll and came to sleep at our house to babysit Noah....THANK YOU!!!

The next morning, we had to get back to Grand Falls quickly to pick up Noah & Jacques mom to head to Fredericton for ANOTHER party at Jacques sister's (LINDA). ANOTHER beautiful night.... below is Jacques niece - Danielle and his sister - Linda. BEAUTIFUL pair....

I only took my little camera...and only took a few photos. One of the 'girls' (Denise, Linda, Jacques mom & Jacqueline) in attendance.

One of the boys (Michel, Jacques mom & Jacques) in attendance.

One of SCROOGE - oops, I mean Chris (Jacques nephew) who doesn't like either Christmas or getting his photo taken!!! LOL What a guy!!!
And one of the newest member of the family - BAILEY - that would be Denise & Luc's new 4 month old puppy!! She is ADORABLE - but Mimi feels a little threatened by her!!! Mimi SQUEALED like a little parrot any time they were both together!!!

We had a WONDERFUL time, played the present game, ate some yummy Indian food, some homemade cheesecake for Luc's birthday, played some cards..... ANOTHER wonderful time spent with the Morin's!!!
From Linda's we had to rush off to get Noah to his hockey game in the afternoon, then to his Christmas concert & puppet show at the Church where his after school program is as well.
The youth group put on a puppet show (which was FANTASTIC) and the Discovery Club (or the little guys) played the Nativity Scene!!! They all did a really great job....even if some of them forgot their 'one or two' words they had to say - poor little guys!!!
Noah played a WISE MAN!!! He was a little hopped up on little sleep, junk food, etc!!!

Noah and his buddies - a Shepard & Joseph (Caleb & Zach).
Noah feeling a little nervous about his 2 words he had to say: ALMIGHTY GOD!!!

Unfortunately, Noah forgot what he had to say. All that came out was 'ALL........' and Miss Ruth Anne had to help him finish his line!!! Poor dude, he was so nervous!

Check how sweet the living nativity scene looks, all looking at Baby Jesus!
Well, by Monday night Noah was C-R-A-N-K-Y! Around 5:30 pm, I sent him to his room for a time out until Daddy got home from work. Only a few minutes later, he seemed pretty quite. I went to his room and this is what I found! He sure does LOVE his blanky & Pichou.... I let him sleep through the night, till the morning. When he woke up in the morning (shortly after 6:10 am), he was the HAPPIEST boy!!! Yippy - what a good night sleep will do, huh?

This week, I've been busy assembling group gifts.
- gifts for each of Jacques 17 employees (hot chocolate, home made chocolate covered spoons, chocolates, candy canes in a Christmas mug),
- gifts for each of Noah's 13 classmates (snow man cups, snow man straws, chocolate suckers, chocolates, pencil's, erasers, and a homemade tree ornament by Noah) and
- gifts for each of my Bible Study friends (Chocolate Covered Spoons & homemade jewelry for the ladies).

Like I said....life has been really busy! I still have a few more items I have to take care of - a surprise for our supper guests on Christmas day, more blog posts, hockey manager stuff, ginger bread house, Christmas movies that are calling me to watch....etc.
Even though I've been REALLY busy making & assembling gifts this year, I have totally enjoyed the season so far. I LOVE giving and seeing smiles on peoples faces.....it makes me so happy! I am so thankful we have the means to do what we do.....
