Happiest and Luckiest Mom in the World

As a child, I dreamed of being a wife and a stay-at-home-mom. I shared this once only to have my dream was criticized and my aspirations crushed. So, as I grew up I only told people I wanted to teach (but deep down I knew this was my children - not a classroom of children).

Sure, since I became a mom I got caught up in the corporate dream of 'climbing the ladder' as well as the pay check and though I excelled at all my corporate roles, I was never really truly happy because I had my childhood dream burning inside of me that always stood in the way.

Now that I am living my dream, I am reaping all of the rewards that overshadow any and all raises or shining reviews I ever received while working outside the home. I'm not claiming to be perfect, not even close but I am living my dream and this makes all the difference in the world.

Yes, sometimes it's lonely - not having daily adult contact - but almost daily, I get reminders from my most 'valued customer' that the sacrifices I make are not going un-noticed! And this makes me the happiest and luckiest mom in the world.

After I put Noah to bed and came downstairs to do some work, I continued to hear pitter-patters upstairs (getting a glass of milk, going pee, playing with the dog, etc). What didn't know he was doing was creating the most beautiful work of art for me....this note (stuck on my bedroom door) is what I found when I came to bed last night.

It reads:
I love you Mom.
I am glad to have a Mom like you.
You are the best.
Including Dad.
From Noah (not sure what the 'tom.d' means)

It's moments like these, when I feel thanks the most.

I truly LOVE my life and am so blessed!
