Saturday, Mar 1, 2008 - getting caught up

What a busy few weeks we've had. So much to be grateful for, counting our blessings along the way. Where do I even begin?

Since I last wrote, I have read Oprah's newest book club selection 'A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose' and began a new and amazing adventure (click to read about it on our family blog). WOW.... I'm not sure any book has ever captivated so much to read 300 pages in just over a week. If you haven't heard, Oprah and the author (Eckhart Tolle) are conducting a 10 week online live interactive course to teach the concept of this book (homework and all) - beginning Monday. If you are taking part in this course or reading the book - let me know. I am so lucky to have been introduced to this book, have the resourses to purchase the book, the eyes to read and the time to do so. I really believe that this book & and course are the beginning of transforming the world.

We also (or should I say) I, have had the chance to get the basement leak fixed. What a mess we were in for a few days - got the crack in the foundation filled, re-drywalled and patched...then primed (the current OIL paint) and painted the wall. I am SO glad this is over. The company we had come in (or should I say the guy - Steven) was SO sweet, helpful and patient (that is with Noah, I mean). We were very lucky to have had someone so professional and helpful.

Jacques was in Atlanta on business last week - just arrived home on Friday night. When he arrived (in Presque Isle, Maine), he found out US Airlines LOST his luggage - oiif! Then, while he was driving back to Moncton (talking to me on the cell, telling me about the luggage) - he got pulled over and got a speeding ticket ($172.00) - double OIIF! LUCKILY - we got a call today that his luggage was found and well....nothing lucky about the speeding ticket...I guess we'll just have to pay it and suck it up!

We're getting ready for our March Break vacation - to Ottawa. Really looking forward to that - spending time TOGETHER, with Lise (Jacques sister) and the boys, meeting up with an old friend and her family to see High School Musical - ON ICE, going for supper with their family, possibly skating the Rideau Canal (if we find the time), going (and hopefully finishing) to the Museum of Civilization and who knows, I hope we have time for an IKEA trip!!!

So much to be thankful for and appreciative about! Lovin' life each and everyday! What are you thankful for?
