Crazy Days

What an absolutely crazy day, today has been!

 

Let's see, FIRST:

 

As we were saying our morning prayers, Noah let out a BIG FART.  I was MORTIFIED and very disappointed, and HE KNEW IT.   We chatted about his VERY bad choice and at this point, I doubt he'll EVER make THAT choice again!

 

SECOND:

 

As part of Noah's grammar, he had to look in the dictionary for words that come in the middle of the two words given.  He shyly said, "Mom, I didn't know there was swear words in the dictionary.'.  My reply (thinking it was like 'ASS' or 'CRAP'), 'yes, well some words that YOU think are swear words are actually real words.'. 

 

When he brought me the dictionary to read to me:

• F*CK
• F*CKING
• FUCK OFF

After reading 3 words, I stopped and held it in to make sure I didn't burst out giggling, wondering WHAT THE HECK I was going to say at this point. 

 

WOW, I did NOT realize that these choice words were in fact in the dictionary and to be honest, I was SHOCKED and DISGUSTED, considering this was THE dictionary we needed to buy last year according to the public school list of supplies.

 

 

THIRD:

 

As we sat doing some crafts, Noah asked me some questions about S-E-X.  I mean, we've had 'that' talk before (if you remember THIS POST) but this time was way different.  He had LOTS of specific questions!!  I won't go into specifics, but I think I did an OK job at answering his questions!  He seemed satisfied, well, that was until the final 'blow' came with THIS question when he looked at me and said, 'Mom, can you give me like 'step-by-step' instructions about how SEX works.'  My heart pounded and raced, wondering HOW was I going to do THIS in an age appropriate way??    All I could come up with was this:  "OH dear, I was so NOT prepared for THIS question for SEVERAL more years - and honey, come back to see me in about 10 years and we'll have this discussion.'

 

 

WOW...all of that today, PLUS I was up by 3:30am (making jewelry for over 12 hours).  ALL THIS drama,  has left this mama completely wiped out!
