Another get a-way

Yup, the kids & I went on another little get-a-way from Wednesday to Thursday.

Jacques was supposed to be out of town from Tuesday until Friday, then going directly to his cousins Friday night when he arrived home from his business trip for a fishing trip.... So the kids & I decided to go to Fredericton for the night to 'get away'! We got a hotel, did some shopping, some swimming and some eating! The trip was VERY successful and we had much fun (well, except for the incident at the hotel and the reason I will NEVER stay at this hotel EVER again). I found baskets for our new IKEA coffee table for our family room, we got some great books both at Chapters and the Christian book store, got a new game, some pants for Jacques, shorts for Noah, new BIG mugs for my green tea, a belt for Isabelle.....etc.

It was super fun....I LOVE having this freedom. THANK YOU so much honey for working working SO hard for our family to give us this freedom!!! We REALLY appreciate all you do.

So this morning around 4:00 am, the dog (who was on my bed) started growling at the bedroom door. At first, I thought it must be one of the kids, then I realized someone was knocking on my door (somehow the door got locked and I started feeling a little nervous). When I opened it, IT WAS JACQUES. He surprised us and came home early!! Yippy! I guess they finished up early so they took the flight after work on Thursday....then he stayed home today with US!!!

I love this guy to the moon and back!!! Thanks for the BEST surprise EVER. No need for diamonds and pearls here, just a simple surprise day spent together is all I need!
