I've noticed that Noah has been complaining alot and frankly, I really believe now that he is mirroring me lately (oops). So this is going to change. As we were eating breakfast, we began talking about what we were grateful for. I told him that at special cuddle every night, we would make our thankful or grateful list (as well as talk about our 'highs' & 'lows' of the day). Tonight was very simple, we just began 'spurting' out our list - first Noah then me....and so on.
Our grateful list from tonight:
- our family
- our health
- bed warmers on a cold night after a shower
- enough money to out at Subway for supper
- my dream van with seat warmers for a cold butt on a cold day
- a cute puppy, Mimi
- Thursday night - which means Daddy comes home tomorrow
- the best boy in the world
- the best Mommy & Daddy in the world
- Jeannine, our cleaning lady (who we will miss dearly when we move and Mommy has ALL the cleaning to do by herself)!!!
- lots of TV's in our house
- lots of clothes to chose from to wear
- a warm winter jacket (actually like 2 or 3 each)
- warm winter boots
- medicine if we are sick
- hot cups of tea
- having a computer to play games on
- time spent with Aunt Tricia tonight - playing games
- time spent with Daddy tonight - playing games
Our list went on and on. We ended our thankful lists with a bedtime prayer. We thanked God for all of our Blessings and asking him to help those who are in need of His guidance or healing hands. It was so calming and comforting to speak such words of gratefulness. It was special to hear Noah (who has been complaining so much these days) creating his own list of things he is thankful for. I can't wait for tomorrow morning to continue our list of things we are grateful for. This is fun - why have we not done this before!!!
