Was really impressed with this video tribute montoge documenting the fire that took 4 historic buildings on the Boulevard in Grand Falls, NB (where we call home now). Twelve families and several businesses lost everything, 8 days before Christmas. Thankfully, all were evacuated from the buildings with no injuries.
Within a few days, over $60,000 was raised, to help those in need. I heard that local children were bringing their piggy banks in to donate. A warehouse of furniture, clothing, household items was collected for the families affected.
It's great to live in a small community and feel the closeness at times like this.
