School is starting...YAY!

Twas the night before school starts when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse
The pencils are sharpened, the back packs all packed
And MOM's so excited that school's finally back!

The children a tad nervous and feeling a little blue
Now mom on the other hand, is one happy goose
And mamma in her excitement and father in his joy
The kids are a thinking, what's gotten into them - 'oh boy'.

When out on the doorstep there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
When, what to my wondering eyes did appear
But a BIG yellow school bus to take them this year.

So off went the school bus, with the children of me
And I got to sit back and enjoy a (peaceful) hot cup of tea
With the fumes of the school bus made me feel just so right
thinking:
Happy School Year to all, and to all a Good Night!
